Description
The Franquette walnut is considered the best French walnut variety for its excellent fruit quality and is a descendant of the Sorrento walnut. It was imported to France where it adapted to the colder climate of the Grenoble region.
It is medium-sized, with a slightly elongated and pointed shape. Its shell is rather hard.
Its kernel is light in colour and has a delicate flavour with a hint of hazelnut.
Growing area: Bleggio Plateau (Province of Trento)
Our organic Franquette walnuts are characterised by:
Absence of chemical residues and mycotoxins.
Harvested at the right moment of ripeness (no unripe fruit).
Hand picked from the plants.
Dried at low temperatures (max 30-35°C) to preserve the precious oil contained in the fruit, naturally rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6.
In shell, which protects the kernel from oxidation and preserves its properties for a long time.
Walnut shells NOT bleached with chemical agents.

Ps our dog really appreciates them... he eats one a day too, he breaks it open calmly and savors the little pieces inside the shell.🐶
