This organic asphodel honey is harvested by our beekeeper Daniele Cossu on the Abbasanta plateau, one of Sardinia's Special Protection Areas (SPAs).

SPAs are natural areas of fundamental importance for the protection of rare or endangered bird species. They include nesting, wintering or resting areas used by migratory birds. In particular, the Abbasanta plateau is the breeding ground of the meadow hen, a species protected by the Birds Directive.

It is in this splendid setting that Daniele Cossu takes part of his hives to produce his highly prized asphodel honey.

Its consistency is fine and creamy, almost velvety on the palate. It has a delicate, sweet flavour with hints of vanilla and a light almond aftertaste, making it a refined and versatile alternative to Sulla and Acacia honeys.
As it is an artisanal honey, its colour, aroma and flavour may vary slightly from year to year.

HARVESTED AREA: Exclusively from the spontaneous flora of the Abbasanta plateau (Sardinia).

To preserve all its properties, this asphodel honey is raw and does not undergo any heat treatment.
