Description
This year our beekeeper Firriolo Germano managed to produce something new, a fine organic honeydew harvested in Monterosso, one of the 5 charming villages of the Cinque Terre, a town much loved by the poet and writer Eugenio Montale.
A very rare honeydew, in this wonderful and uncontaminated nature of the Mediterranean scrub , with splendid views of the sea and terraces, the hives are brought with great effort. Here the bees collect honeydew mainly from the surrounding maritime pine and fir trees .
It is a typical dense and dark honeydew, with a woody, warm and persistent aroma. Its taste is reminiscent of caramel and cooked fruit.
Production method : an artisanal honey that is produced following organic beekeeping methods, obtained without the use of chemical treatments.
