Description
This year our beekeeper Firriolo Germano managed to produce something new, a fine organic honeydew harvested in Monterosso, one of the 5 charming villages of the Cinque Terre, a town much loved by the poet and writer Eugenio Montale.
A very rare honeydew, in this wonderful and uncontaminated nature of the Mediterranean scrub , with splendid views of the sea and terraces, the hives are brought with great effort. Here the bees collect honeydew mainly from the surrounding maritime pine and fir trees.
It is a typical dense and dark honeydew, with a woody, warm and persistent aroma. Its taste is reminiscent of caramel and cooked fruit.
Production method : an artisanal honey that is produced following organic beekeeping methods, obtained without the use of chemical treatments.
