Our organic sesame seeds are a rare production in Italy, an excellence protected by Slow Food Presidia which today survives thanks to the commitment of some small local farmers in Ispica. A perfect synergy between agriculture and craftsmanship, resulting in a very healthy food to be used in sweet and savory dishes.

These organic sesame seeds from Ispica have a delicious natural flavor, different from imported white sesame.

Ancient Italian variety sesame

Native Ispica seed reproduced on the farm and protected by Slow Food Presidia. It differs in its dark amber color, which recalls the sands of the Ispicese coast.

Very nutritious food

Unlike toasted sesame, these raw sesame seeds are a precious food as they are a natural source of many elements useful to our body.
They contain vitamin B1, B2, B3, carotene and mineral salts (calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, selenium, iron and zinc). They are also rich in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.

They contain powerful lignan antioxidants (sesamin and sesamolin) useful for keeping oxidized cholesterol levels low.

Instructions

Raw sesame seeds have a nut-like flavor and can be used in many ways:

Breakfast & Snacks

with plain yogurt or

In the kitchen They can be added to salads, soups or used in the preparation of protein bars, or to flavor bread and focaccias.
