During the months of April and May, Solmielato Apiculture strategically positions its beehives amidst carefully selected citrus groves in the Piana di Catania, renowned for its IGP-certified blood oranges, and along the coasts and valleys of Agrigento, home to the IGP-certified "riberella" blond oranges.

The surrounding areas where the beehives are placed are characterized by uncultivated land or pasture grounds. During the flowering season, the entire landscape is enveloped in an enchanting fragrance of orange blossoms, as the bees diligently gather the precious nectar from the white, fragrant blooms of Sicilian organic oranges.

Organoleptic Characteristics:

• Texture: Spontaneously crystallizes into a fine, creamy, and easily spreadable consistency.
• Color: In its liquid state, it is almost colorless or straw yellow; when crystallized, it turns pearly white or light beige.
• Aroma: Reminiscent of orange blossoms.
• Taste: Sweet and aromatic with a slightly acidic note.

Solmielato's organic orange blossom honey is unpasteurized and undergoes no heat treatment. It is extracted by cold centrifugation and produced using organic beekeeping methods.
