Description

How to prepare Matcha tea:

The art of preparing a perfect Matcha is mastered over time. Every detail is essential to fully enjoy its properties.

  • Choose the water: preferably use water with a neutral pH and low mineral content.
  • Heat the water to just below the boiling point (65-70°C). If using a kettle, we recommend opening it once the water boils and waiting 10 minutes, or pouring the water 4-5 times into another container; with each pour, the water loses approximately 4-5° Celsius. Water temperature is crucial to avoid "burning" the tea and making it bitter.
  • Soak the bamboo whisk (Chasen) in hot water for a few seconds to soften the bristles.
  • Add 1g of previously sifted Matcha into a bowl (2 bamboo scoops or ½ teaspoon).
  • Pour about 70-80 ml of hot water (65-70°C) over the powder.
  • Whisk the tea with the bamboo whisk until it becomes smooth and a fine foam forms on the surface.
  • Serve. You can drink it directly from the bowl or pour it into a cup.
One 30g tin prepares approx. 30 cups of tea.

When to drink Matcha tea
Due to its caffeine content, consumption in the evening is not recommended. It is also excellent served cold.

    Frequently Asked Questions

It is ideal for Usucha (thin tea). For Koicha (thick tea), we recommend our Supreme Kirishima Matcha, which offers an even softer and more complex profile.

Use water at 65–70°C (149–158°F)—never boiling. We recommend using low-mineral or spring water with a low dry residue content.

Use approximately 1–2 grams of matcha (half a teaspoon) and 60–80 ml of water. Whisk the tea vigorously using a chasen (bamboo whisk) until a fine, creamy foam forms on the surface.
A 30g tin allows you to prepare approximately 30 servings.

Our Premium Matcha is designed for those who desire a high-quality tea for daily enjoyment. It is perfect for those who love the authentic flavor of matcha and seek an organic, refined product for their daily rituals or a relaxing break.

Our matcha is certified organic and undergoes annual testing by independent laboratories to verify the absence of pesticides, glyphosate, and other contaminants—meeting the same rigorous standards as our Supreme Kirishima Matcha.

Store it in the refrigerator at approximately 4°C in its original, tightly sealed aluminum packaging. Cold temperatures slow down oxidation, preserving the tea's brilliant green color and aroma. Keep it away from light sources and strong odors.
