Description
High above the breathtaking Alta Valle di Champorcher, beekeeper Alessandro Ansermé collects a treasure: wildflower honey. This pristine valley, nestled within the Mont Avic Natural Park (bordering Gran Paradiso National Park), sits at an impressive altitude, exceeding 1400 meters. It's a paradise for mountain enthusiasts – and for honeybees!
Ansermé strategically places his hives throughout the valley, including privileged locations within the park. Here, during the summer months, a vibrant tapestry of wildflowers, aromatic herbs, and medicinal plants unfolds. Bees diligently collect nectar from these natural treasures, including bistorta, thyme, raspberry, and rhododendron, infusing the honey with their unique essences.
The resulting honey is a true delicacy, revered not just in Italy but internationally. This nectar-rich honey boasts a delightful sweetness, layered with a symphony of aromatic nuances.
