The Ballot-Flurin honey farm was born in 1976 in the heart of the Pyrenees , southwestern France, when a young student decided to become a beekeeper.
Since then Catherine Ballot-Flurin has been recognized as the pioneer of organic beekeeping in France. Its honeys and other beehive products were the first in France to receive organic certification in 1982.

From the beginning Catherine has adopted an approach based on respect for the well-being of the bees and their natural biological cycles by developing a method called Apicultura DOUCE® . Douce® Apiculture takes into account the solar, lunar and cosmic cycles in managing the bee colony and in deciding the right moment in which the beekeeper will collect the products from the hive.

The range of products of the Ballot-Flurin Abeilles & Santé hive are certified natural organic, of excellence.
