Using sesame oil as food:
Sesame oil is a food that can be used "raw" as a condiment but also in some desserts. It cannot tolerate cooking which compromises all its beneficial properties.
The important presence of calcium and mineral salts make it a good supplement for growing children and for the elderly to prevent osteoporosis.
Cosmetic use:
:
It is used extensively in the Ayurvedic tradition as a massage oil for its anti-fatigue and decontracting action on the muscles. A good massage with sesame oil dissolves the tensions accumulated during the day.
Hair oil:
If you want to use the product in a traditional Ayurvedic way as a hair and scalp care, use 1-2 times a week before shampooing:
- apply directly to the scalp and massage gently,
- wash with The Honeyland shampoo after leaving for 30-60 minutes
As an exclusive hair care, start from the lengths and ends and massage the remaining oil into the scalp.
To promote microcirculation of the scalp, The Honeyland organic rosemary essential oil can be used as a carrier oil.
Oil pulling : in Ayurveda it is used to clean the oral cavity as it has the ability to expel toxins that accumulate in the mouth during the night. Place 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in your mouth and then move it between your teeth. Keep it in your mouth for about 10/15 minutes.
Storage : this oil goes rancid easily, so store in a cool, dry place, keeping the product in the fridge once opened.
