Description
Spruce honeydew from the Belluno Dolomites Park above 1200m.
From the same spruce forests where Stradivari used to get the wood for his violins, Renato Panciera now collects his precious and rare honeydew honey.
We are in Val Zoldana, in the Zoldo Dolomites, whose highest peak is Monte Civetta at 3220 m. This is an area of exceptional naturalistic and landscape value, rich in rare species and an extraordinary variety of environments.
An excellent honeydew that combines the aromatic complexity of honeydew with the charm of high altitude production. A must for honeydew lovers.
ARTISAN ORGANIC: Renato Panciera takes care of his bees as if they were his family. A honeydew that is very difficult to produce due to the climatic conditions, in fact some years there is no production at all.
CERTIFICATION Quality Card - ORGANIC Golden Bellflower. It is granted exclusively to agri-food products produced in the territory of the 15 municipalities of the Park and obtained using organic farming methods.
It differs from the more classic White Fir Honeydew in its dark amber colour with reddish reflections and in its more harmonious and malty aroma.
Characteristics :
Aroma: damp wood, caramelised sugar, resin, smoke.
Taste: less sweet than nectar honeys, full and aromatic, with a malt and caramel flavour.
Physical state: generally very viscous, remains liquid for a long time.
