The 0.10 g "la giusta dose" package of Saffron from Città della Pieve was created with the main purpose of making the use of this spice simple and fun. In fact, we are generally used to using powdered saffron, which is easily found, and when we find ourselves using pure saffron threads, we don't know how to regulate ourselves either in terms of the method or the quantity of threads to use, given that powdered saffron does not require any preparation method but is generally used as is at the end of the preparation of the chosen dish.
Inside the package you will find tips for the correct use of "la giusta dose". With a single 0.10 gr package, you can prepare dishes for 3/4 people.
Each package includes a simple and tasty recipe created by Chef Giorgione (Giorgio Barchiesi, aka Giorgione, is a well-known "Oste" with restaurants in Montefalco - Umbria and host of a very popular program on Sky Gambero Rosso) which is described in detail.

Instructions
This saffron threads will enhance your recipes in a unique way, starting from the classic "Saffron risotto".
How to use saffron pistils in cooking :
- Place a little hot water and your stigmas in a coffee cup. You can also use broth or milk. It is important to keep the water temperature constant, therefore it is ideal to keep the cup in a bain-marie.
- Cover and leave to infuse for 40/60 minutes, you will see the water color intense yellow.
- Pour everything into your recipe, usually at the end of cooking.
- Treat saffron as you would matcha tea , prepare an infusion in water between 70° and 75°C:
- Saffron risotto: the secret is to add the whole saffron at the beginning of cooking, giving it enough time to open up and create an infusion with the cooking liquid.
