Instructions
The essential oil of Swiss pine, as well as that of mountain pine, are part of the traditional natural remedies of the population of South Tyrol. Here are some that have been used for centuries:
- Diffusers or humidifiers, 3-4 drops to improve air quality. They recreate the warm atmosphere typical of the South Tyrolean stube
- Relaxation and Sleep: 2-3 drops sprayed with a spray bottle in the study or work areas or on the pillow.
- Fumes, fumigations in case of colds and bronchitis 3-4 drops of essential oil diluted in 2 liters of hot water has an expectorant action.
- Balsamic ointment (a few drops in the ointment with organic beeswax slightly softened in a bain-marie).
- Massage oil: Add a few drops of essential oil to a massage oil such as raw organic hazelnut oil. It increases blood circulation and provides relief from bruises, strains, sprains, muscle strains and inflammation.
- Sauna infusion approx. 5-10 drops diluted in half a liter of water.
- Relaxing and balsamic bath: in the bathtub add 4 drops with a spoonful of organic honey for an emulsifying effect.
Warnings : Not suitable for children under 3 years of age, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. At high doses it can irritate the mucous membranes. In case of contact with eyes, clean with extra virgin olive oil or hazelnut oil. Keep out of reach of children.
Store in sealed containers, protected from light and heat, if possible in the refrigerator.
Caution : Do not use any essential oil derived from conifers if it is too old, i.e. excessively oxidized, as it could cause irritation. Even if well stored, the essential oil becomes "old" in 12-18 months.
