Description

Organic bergamot honey harvested in the Ionian and Tyrrhenian area of the province of Reggio Calabria .

It is only in this small piece of land, called “humid temperate tropical”, with the particular microclimate that this citrus fruit bears fruit like nowhere else in the world. For this reason, the organic bergamot from the province of Reggio Calabria is also known as " Green Gold ".

During May , part of the Solmielato Apiculture hives are positioned in this splendid coastal area to be able to collect the nectar from the blooms of this precious citrus fruit and create a unique and creamy honey , with a delicately sweet flavour.

An interesting variant compared to the more classic citrus honeys such as orange and lemon.

Freshly harvested bergamot honey undergoes a guided crystallization process and is then stored at an optimal temperature of 12°C which allows all the organoleptic characteristics to be preserved and gives this honey a creamy consistency and a truly incomparable floral scent.

Organoleptic characteristics :

Consistency : spontaneous crystallization, with very fine crystal grain.
Color : in the liquid state it is almost colorless or straw yellow, in the crystallized state it is pearly white or light beige.
Taste : normally sweet, fine and creamy.
Odor : delicate with a light scent of bergamot flowers.

The bergamot honey from Solmielato beekeeping is not pasteurized, does not undergo any thermal process and is produced using organic beekeeping methods.

No added sugars.

Instructions

Excellent for breakfast and to sweeten tea and herbal teas.

Storage : store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.

Notes : honey can be taken by children from the age of 1 year.
