Description

Organic chestnut honey from the rich tradition of the Aosta Valley where honey has been produced since 1300.

The result of procedures that respect the environment and the mountains, each jar of this precious honey is collected in the lower valley between the municipalities of Arnad (famous for its lard) and Issogne. We are at the entrance to the Champorcher Valley which, going up, reaches the beautiful Mont Avic Natural Park.

In this area the chestnut trees are very lush and the beekeeper Alessandro Ansermé looks for the best locations to collect his excellent chestnut honey with its typical reddish hues and characteristic intense and aromatic flavor in the month of June.

Collection area : Issogne, Arnad (Val d'Aosta)

Organoleptic characteristics:

Physical state : liquid, can crystallize finely.

Color : honey with reddish hues.

Smell : delicate but characteristic of the genus and chestnut flowers.

Taste : bitter and aromatic, recalls the smell of chestnut flowers.

Production method : it is a honey produced with organic beekeeping methods obtained without the use of chemical treatments.
