Description

Luca Bonizzoni's organic eucalyptus honey is collected in the Castiadas area, in the south-eastern part of Sardinia .

Here in the months of June and July, when the eualyptus is in full bloom, Bonizzoni brings part of his hives. We are near the beautiful Costa Rey where behind there is a dense vegetation of mastic trees , pines and eucalyptus .

This area is also a succession of natural oases . A triumph of nature, made up of reliefs with rocks shaped by time and woods inhabited by rare animal species, such as deer and mouflon. Walking inside these oases you can find canyons, gorges and towers.

This eucalyptus honey is amber , very light. It has a particular aroma, a little wild and slightly musky. It crystallizes in an instant, within a month of honey extraction. Its fine crystals melt in your mouth like butter, and are a bit reminiscent of toffee with hints of licorice .

Being an artisanal honey, its colour, aroma and flavor may vary slightly from year to year.

HARVESTED AREA: exclusively from spontaneous flora in the surroundings of Castiadas, a small village of 1600 inhabitants nestled between the Costa Rey and the mountainous area of the Sette Fratelli oasis .

HIGH QUALITY ORGANIC . Organic eucalyptus honey harvested where plants and bees are not contaminated by pesticides, herbicides and heavy metals.

To keep all its properties unchanged, this eucalyptus honey is raw and does not undergo any heat treatment.
