Description
This organic lavender honey is produced by expert beekeeper Jerome Sarre, who brings his hives to the Alpes de Haute Provence (France) every summer, an area renowned for its lavender cultivation for the production of essential oil.
In this area, thanks to the abundance of sunshine, the flowers of true lavender (L. angustifolia) and lavandula (Lavandula hybrida - hybrid species) have a very sweet nectar that bees love.
These flowers give rise to this lavender honey, one of the most sought-after and refined, with a characteristic intense aroma and a yellow colour with golden reflections, different from that of the spontaneous flora, the sea lavender (Lavandula stoechas), common in Spain and Sardinia.
