Description
Black Henna for Hair, also known as Indigo, is one of the oldest and safest natural hair colouring solutions. Made from plant powders, this method is less harmful than traditional chemical dyes.
Indigo dye not only colours hair naturally, it also strengthens and thickens hair, adding volume and shine. Used regularly, it can regenerate the scalp, prevent dandruff and improve overall hair health.
It comes in the form of a very fine, untreated powder of the highest quality. When mixed with water, it becomes a soft, creamy paste that is easy to apply and rinse out, leaving no residue.
The result is an intense dark brown-black colour. The paste adheres to the cuticle, providing colour, protection and volume without penetrating the hair shaft.
COLOUR NOTES
A dark brown/black shade can be achieved with Indigo.
For blonde hair, use indigo twice or red henna first and then indigo.
For white hair: To obtain a uniform black, it is necessary to first apply red henna and then indigo (or a mixture of indigo and other colouring herbs). Mixing indigo with henna in varying percentages will produce shades ranging from light brown to dark brown, chocolate and mahogany.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not apply pure indigo to white or light blonde hair to avoid unpleasant and undesirable green/blue colour changes; in these cases, apply red henna (for about 20/30 minutes) to create a layer of colour on which the indigo will have greater hold.

HOW TO USE:
Mix a sufficient amount of Indigo powder with cold/warm water, wait 10 minutes and apply the paste on dry and perfectly clean hair, from roots to lengths.
To obtain a stronger hold, you can alkalinize the paste by adding a little baking soda or a pinch of salt.
For dry hair, add a few drops of Ispica TheHoneyland Sesame Oil to the mixture.
Processing time: 1-2 hours and rinse without shampoo. If necessary, apply a small amount of conditioner and do a final rinse with water and vinegar to keep the color longer.
