High quality organic oregano grown in the mountains of Alto Adige.

Organic oregano grown under the sun (not in a greenhouse) in a unique nursery. A paradise of colours, aromas and smells located in the beautiful village of Casterlotto, Alto Adige.

One of the best places to grow oregano which means "mountain splendor" (from the Greek oros, mountain, and ganos, joy).

Like all Pflegerhof herbs, organic oregano has not undergone any chemical or industrial treatment. In fact, artisanal techniques allow us to obtain and preserve the highest concentration of active ingredients of the plant:

essential oil ,
minerals (calcium, potassium, magnesium, zinc),
vitamins (B6, Niacin, Thiamine, Riboflavin, vitamin E, vitamin K),
organic acids .

Thanks also to the natural drying at low temperature, this oregano has a very intense aroma .

PROPERTY'

A condiment used for centuries in the Mediterranean diet, oregano is now also recognized as having nutraceutical properties .

Recent scientific research has highlighted that the Origanum vulgaris plant contains active ingredients with important antioxidant (1), anti-inflammatory (2) and analgesic (3) properties.

Instructions

Oregano is widely used in the kitchen, in many recipes of the Mediterranean diet. To be added to tomato sauce as well as to pizza.

The best way to exploit its nutritional properties is in "raw" recipes:
Salads.
Oregano sauce
Meat sauce. Ideal to reach at the end of cooking on hot meats and fish with extra virgin olive oil.
Oregano flavored oil. With quality organic extra virgin olive oil.

Oregano herbal tea: half a teaspoon of dried oregano for 200g of 85-90° water. Leave to infuse for 10-12 minutes and serve immediately.
Ideal in cases of menstrual pain .

Storage : store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.

Packaging disposal : Cellophane is biodegradable.
