
Description
This spring honey is harvested in May in Cap Corse, one of Corsica's wildest regions. Situated at the northernmost point of the island, Cap Corse is characterised by remote villages and small fishing ports nestled amongst the Mediterranean scrub.
Flowering plants
The area features a diverse range of flora typical of the season, making this honey highly prized: asphodel and rosemary, accompanied by willows, coastal clovers, mimosas, wild roses and other blooms.
Characteristics:
It is a dark amber honey with reddish hues and a delicate floral taste without acidity.
Miel de Corse AOP
Production relies exclusively on the local Corsican bee, which is carefully preserved under strict local regulations.
Production method: this artisanal honey is produced according to organic beekeeping practices and is certified under the AOP scheme.
The honey is not subjected to heat treatment, which preserves its high nutritional value.
