Description
Raw heather honey collected in Manarola, one of the 5 charming villages of the Cinque Terre .
In these splendid naturalistic settings it is always hard work for our beekeeper to bring the hives onto the high and steep terraces overlooking the sea. At least it pays off as the mild climate allows bee families to spend the winter well and be strong and healthy in spring.
Difficult to produce as the heather It blooms in the early spring months, it is a very rare honey and depends greatly on climatic conditions.
This organic heather honey has a light amber color and is creamy. It is very good, the aroma is reminiscent of caramel while the flavor is of medium sweetness, not cloying, and recalls toffee , creme caramel with hints of liquorice and turmeric. Fresh aroma and very inviting flavour.
A honey absolutely worth tasting and giving as a gift to honey lovers!
