In Sardinia a particularly valuable eucalyptus honey is obtained as the plants, thanks to a unique climate in the world, can reach 25 metres. in height.

The most widespread species in Sardinia is Eucalyptus camaldulensis followed by the E. globulus and the E. viminalis with intense blooms, rich in nectar but also pollen, which has a high protein content, much appreciated by bees.
