Our beekeeper, Roberta Bonomo, crafts this organic light wildflower honey on the island of Capraia, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Sheltered by the sea, this protected natural park creates a privileged environment for honey production. Capraia remains miraculously untouched, a wild haven dominated by fragrant Mediterranean scrubland and abundant wildlife. Here, far from pollution, pesticides, and invasive species, Roberta's bees thrive in their ideal habitat.
The unique floral composition of the honey changes year to year, reflecting the season's dominant blooms. Recent pollen analysis of the last harvest revealed a predominance of myrtle and catnip (Camedrio).
Produced without heat treatment and with organic beekeeping practices, this award-winning wildflower honey boasts a first-place finish at the 2018 L'Ape d'Oro national competition in Lazise and a 2 Gocce d'Oro distinction at the 2019 Tre Gocce d'Oro - Grandi Mieli d'Italia competition.
