Description
Grenoble AOP organic walnuts: From farm to table
Our organic Grenoble AOP walnuts come straight from the Damien Philibert farm in the heart of Isère, France.
Nestled in the hills of St Antoine l'Abbaye, this small family farm has been cultivating its three hectares with passion for two generations, producing a precious harvest of Franquette walnuts, the queen of walnuts, every autumn.
Our Franquette variety
Among the historic varieties of Grenoble AOP walnuts, produced exclusively in the Dauphiné region, the Franquette walnut is the best known and most appreciated:
- It has a slightly elongated and pointed shape with a rather hard shell.
- The kernel is light in colour and has a delicate flavour with a hint of hazelnut.
Growing area
The walnut trees are located in an area surrounded by natural parks, including the Parc Naturel Régional du Vercors and the Parc Naturel Régional du Pilat, far from intensive crops, major roads and industrial activities.
In full respect of tradition and the environment, NO herbicides or synthetic chemicals are used. In this way we obtain walnuts of the highest quality and purity.
Walnut characteristics
Our Grenoble AOP organic walnuts are characterised by meticulous attention to detail during cultivation and processing. After being harvested in the field, these organic walnuts are washed, selected and dried:

- 0 km of walnuts. 100% grown, harvested, selected, dried and packed on the farm.
- Average size - over 3 cm in diameter.
