Description

High quality organic green tea, also known in the West as “ Pozzo del Drago ” (Dragon Well). The green tea most loved by the Chinese, among the oldest and most renowned teas, known since the Ming era.

In addition to the historic Xi Hu area surrounding Hangzhou's West Lake , today in the Zhejiang region there are numerous sites where Long Jing tea is produced. In fact, many production areas are located close to cities, which increases the risk of contamination with heavy metals from vehicles and industrial areas.

This Long Jing comes from the Qian Dao Hu district, Chun'an county, an area neighboring the more famous Xi Hu. Qian Dao (Lake of 1000 Islands) is a famous tourist resort surrounded by high mountains known for its enchanting landscapes and away from pollution.

Here, just like in the Xi Hu area, the cold and humid climate, the rocky mountains, the acidic soil and the strong temperature variations create the best conditions for growing good quality tea.

Qian Dao is one of the few organic high-quality Long Jing teas in China. This tea comes from small farmers who still maintain ancient traditions: from the cultivation of tea (without chemical fertilizers and herbicides), to the harvesting and manual processing.

This is authentic unblended Long Jing.

Origin : Qian Dao Hu district, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province (China)

It is a product protected by Chinese national laws which protect typical agri-food production. These laws require that all phases, from cultivation to processing up to packaging, must take place in the area of origin (corresponding to the European DOP mark).

Leaves : green and flat.

Aroma : fresh and vegetal.

Infused color : clear, straw yellow.

Taste : full and aromatic, savory note, secondary notes of hazelnut or boiled chestnut.

Packaging: double layer bag (paper outside / aluminum inside). Zip closure, in this way the leaves retain all their freshness and aroma even after opening.

Instructions

It can be drunk at any time of the day, ideal in the morning to start the day, due to the caffeine content, its consumption in the evening is not recommended.

Preparation : preferable to use natural mineral water. If possible, use a terracotta or ceramic teapot.
Quantity : approximately 2.5 g (1 teaspoon) per 150 ml of freshly boiled water.
Temperature: 80°C
Number of infusions: 2
Infusion time: 3 minutes.

Suggestions : recommended to drink between meals, plain or sweetened with a pinch of organic honey, avoid sugar and other sweeteners.

Warning : Pregnant women should limit daily tea consumption.
