Description
From the tea gardens of Shutaro Hayashi at the foot of the Kirishima Mountains (Japan), an organic Sencha green tea Asamushi Kanaya Midori.
Unlike most senchas, which are made from blends of different teas, this tea is precious and rare because it is made exclusively from the purest leaves of the Kanaya Midori variety.
It is made only with leaves from the 1st harvest of May. The leaves are steamed using the ancient "asamushi" method, which gives the tea a certain roundness and subtle floral nuances.
After infusion, this Sencha is very clear, with a fresh and sweet fragrance. With the second infusion, the flavour becomes more fruity.
CHARACTERISTICS :
- Leaves: well-formed and firm needles.
- Scents: fresh and planty, with hints of forest.
- Infusion colour: very pale.
- Flavour: sweet, floral.
Why choose organic Japanese Sencha from the Hayashi family?
The organic tea plant can live for up to 200 years, whereas the conventional tea plant, which is treated with chemicals, dies after 20 years. Organic Sencha tea also has more flavour and more beneficial properties.
ARTISAN ORGANIC: The Hayashi family's gardens have been organically farmed since 1993 and grow many varieties of tea (not monocultures).
ANTIOXIDANT: The quality of the Hayashi family's tea gardens and the production process guarantee a tea rich in antioxidants.
PURITY: An organic Sencha tea with a short supply chain, produced without the use of chemical fertilisers, pesticides, dyes and additives.
In addition, our organic Matcha teas are carefully analysed every year at the Galab Laboratories in Hamburg, Germany.
Analysis results : NO pesticides, glyphosate, anthraquinones, radioactive elements detected.
Organic certification: DE-ÖKO-039
Harvested and produced in Japan.
Storage : To best preserve the beneficial properties of Sencha tea, such as antioxidants and vitamins, it is recommended to store it in the refrigerator. At The Honeyland, we guarantee that it is stored in our warehouse in a special refrigerator at a temperature of around 4°C.
