Esmeraldas 50% cocoa is a vegan alternative for those who prefer dark chocolate with less theobromine (a stimulant in chocolate similar to caffeine).
Made with the finest Arriba National cocoa from Ecuador and Guara almonds, it is characterised by its harmony of flavours: not too sweet, wonderfully creamy, the velvety notes of gianduja blend with the warmth of barley malt.
The story of cocoa beans & almonds
These unique Arriba beans grow in the Pacific rainforest on the edge of the Cotacachi Cayapas Natural Reserve on the Costa Esmeraldas in Ecuador. The indigenous Chachi communities grow pure Arriba Nacional in their cocoa gardens many hours away from the Cayapas River.
With 'Guara' almonds from small organic farms in the province of Alicante, Spain.
