La Miellerie du Bousquet

Jerome Sarre is one of the pioneer organic beekeepers in France. He has been a beekeeper since 1978 and lives with its bees in the midst of nature, in the hilly areas of the Aude (Occitania). Breed exclusively Iberian apis mellifera (black bee), a native breed typical of the area and is one of the few beekeepers who directly raises its queens which are fertilized in a natural way.

Over the years it has always remained a small local reality and this allows a beekeeping that respect the bees and the environment, honeys and their qualities. Over the years, Jerome has managed to find apiary sites with exceptional and varied potential, while avoiding excessive travel to preserve the environment. The apiaries are in the state wild or in areas of biological agriculture. Its activity is controlled and certified by Qualité France under the disciplinary for organic agriculture .
