Organic sage grown under the sun (not in a greenhouse) in a unique nursery. A paradise of colours, aromas and smells located in the beautiful village of Casterlotto, Alto Adige.
One of the best places to grow sage, a term derived from the Latin salvatrix which means "healthy" due to its beneficial properties.
PROPERTY'
A typical condiment in the Mediterranean diet, sage is now also recognized as having nutraceutical properties, but only when it is produced according to precise rules that preserve its original properties.
Like all Pflegerhof herbs, organic sage has not undergone any chemical or industrial treatment.
In fact, artisanal techniques allow us to obtain and preserve the highest concentration of active ingredients of the plant:
- Essential oil. Thanks also to natural drying at low temperatures, this organic sage has a very intense aroma.
- Flavonoids,
- Vitamins (B1, C)
- Rosmarinic acid, with antimicrobial and antifungal properties
- Organic acids.
Recent scientific research attributes antioxidant, antifungal and digestive properties to the plant that preserves the nutraceuticals listed above.

Instructions
Sage is widely used in the kitchen, in many recipes of the Mediterranean diet. It is known for its warm and decisive flavour.
It is ideal for flavoring meat and fish dishes.
Sage herbal tea: half a teaspoon of dried sage for 200g of 85-90° water.
Leave to infuse for 3-5 minutes or if you prefer a more intense flavor you can increase the infusion to 6-7 minutes and serve immediately.
You can sweeten it with a pinch of raw honey.
Storage : store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.
Packaging disposal : Cellophane is biodegradable.
